Libby Todd’s efficient and clever set design plays with the notion of an eclipse in Diana’s life and presents two overlapping moons as a stage. Aided by Alex Musgrave’s lighting, it switches from cold hotel reception to Ruby’s cosy apartment. Concentric moons form a striking backdrop, with musicians above.

THE GUARDIAN

Libby Todd’s design is simple yet purposeful. A conversation pit functions as all manner of furniture, and a large cement moon cut-out covers the back-drop, serving as reminder that Diana’s life may seem small in one respect, but her bravery is massive. “One small step” and so on.

THE REVIEWS HUB

Libby Todd’s design, with its lunar curves, cleverly suggests period interiors.
